Phoenix Newborn Photos- 10 week Old Baby Rulena

Baby Rulena’s mom had her maternity photos done at my phoenix photography studio and absolutely loved her studio photoshoot. She had planned on also doing the newborn photos after baby was born. After Rulena was born, her momma felt like it was a little hard to get out as she had just had a cesarean. Sadly, she had to cancel her newborn photo session. I completely understood as it can be so hard to get around after having a surgery and a newborn baby along with it.

But a few weeks later I received a call from her stating that she really wanted to still get these memories of her sweet baby girl. These were memories that she knew she would never get back. SO what do I do? I get them in to the phoenix newborn studio of course!

They came in when Rulena was 10 weeks old. We typically recommend a newborn photo session around the first 3 weeks. But I will always capture memories for my clients.

Miss Rulena was such a sweet and smiley baby. She was wide eyed for part of the session and sleepy for the rest. She was a chunky girl at 10 weeks old but all her rolls were amazing! We were able to get through family portraits, two wrapped setups, naked portraits, and all of the little newborn photo props. She did absolutely amazing!

Every baby is so different. Some babies do great at a week or two old, while some do better at 5 or 6 weeks. And we have had 1 or 2 week old babies who were not quite relaxed for a newborn photo session. It can go so many ways with a newborn. They truly run the show when it comes to a newborn photo shoot.

I am so grateful that her momma decided to call me and come in for the photo shoot. I hope they cherish those images forever.
